OUR 5 STEP PROCESS

Before starting your treatment with Diverse Physiotherapy, one of our chartered physiotherapists will conduct a detailed physical exam and evaluation.

DIAGNOSIS

Following the assessment, you will be given a detailed explanation of the problem causing the injury and will have the option to ask any questions you may have prior to your course of treatment.

TREATMENTS

To treat your injury, we provide a variety of therapy techniques for back & neck pain, soft tissue injuries, sports injuries, headaches, and pre and post-operative rehabilitation.

EXERCISE PLAN

You will be provided with a tailored exercise plan designed for your rehabilitation that can be completed in our onsite gym or at home to ensure the best results.

PHYSIOTHERAPY FAQ'S

Physiotherapy is a branch of healthcare that focuses on recovering from injuries, managing long-term conditions and other musculoskeletal issues through movement. This can be done through:

  • Advice & education
  • Exercises (such as strengthening, stretching, mobility, etc.)
  • Hands-on techniques such as soft tissue work (massage) and manual therapy

Physiotherapy can be beneficial for any musculoskeletal (joint, bone, muscle or soft tissue) problem, including but not limited to:

  • Muscle injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Disc problems
  • Sciatica
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Whiplash
  • Tendinitis/tendinopathies
  • Postural problems

If you’re unsure if physiotherapy can help you, please feel free to contact us so we can learn more about your problem and guide you in the best direction.

Before your first appointment you will be sent a Registration and Consent form as well as a Health Screening form, which you should complete prior to your appointment.

Please bring any relevant medical information, such as doctors’ letters or scan results if you have those. Anyone coming through an insurance provider should also bring their medical insurance policy details with them.

On arrival we will start with a detailed assessment, which will consist of noting the history of your problem, confirming any past medical history and working out what goals you have/what activities you’d like to get back to. We will then physically assess you – to make it easier it would be ideal to wear something loose-fitting and easily removable for the purpose of your assessment (e.g. shorts for a lower limb problem, vest/sports bra for an upper limb problem).

Once the physiotherapist has assessed you, they will then talk about your potential diagnosis (if not already known) and treatment options. If you have booked a free Basic Assessment, you will be asked to book a new appointment for treatment, but if you have a full Initial Appointment your treatment will be included in the first session. Alongside any hands-on treatment, you will be given advice on how to manage your problem at home, and if appropriate an exercise programme to be completed at home or in the gym.

You will be given the option to book Follow-Up appointments in the clinic directly, or you can do so with our online booking link. Follow-Ups are 30 minutes long, and will include a review of your progress, re-assessment and treatment as needed. You can also book a Double Session which will be 60 minutes long and will include hands-on treatment (if indicated) and time on the gym floor to fully go through your exercise programme.

If you’re unsure if physiotherapy can help you, please feel free to contact us so we can learn more about your problem and guide you in the best direction.

However, we may need to contact your other healthcare providers, if further non-physiotherapy assessment or treatment is warranted.

Basic Assessment (15 minutes): Free – only available for a limited time!

Diverse Gym Members get 10% off their first paid session.

Currently, we are recognised by four insurance providers:

  • Aviva
  • AXA
  • Vitality
  • WPA

If you hold a medical insurance policy with any of these providers, you will need to contact them directly and state you would like an appointment with Diverse Physiotherapy. The providers will book directly with us, and we will invoice them for your appointments.
